(More customer reviews)Our family jokes that it's pretty sad when the most comfortable chair in the house is the one that is intended to be kept outside on the patio! Mine is dark green, which gives the feel of being outside.
Seriously, this is a very comfortable chair.
Ideally, you need a table next to it for drinks and anything else you need, because once you sit down in it, you probably aren't going to want to get up for awhile.
The canvas upholstery really feels plush and comfortable and gets better with age. It's light weight in case you want to move it around.
I have a neighbor who heads for this chair every time she visits. She has trouble getting out of most chairs and this one is perfect for her.
Why is it in the living room? I pulled it in from the patio one day because of expected bad weather. Then I thought it would be really sad if the birds messed it up as they flew over. After that I appreciated the extra seating and the people telling me how comfortable it is. It makes great extra seating when I have guests.
I started using it when I take some of my work, reading and/or study materials into the living room. It's just a comfortable place to be.
WHAT I DO NOT LIKE: When I move it from one place to the other, it's a little cumbersome because of the glider mechanism. That part falls down and I have to either drag the chair or make sure to hold that part. I doubt that it's a big problem for most people, especially if you aren't going to be moving it as much as I do.
Also, be careful if you drag it across wood floors, of course, but how many people have wood floors on their patio, where this is really meant to be?
I wish I had another one of these. I might put it on the patio, but probably not. It's too nice to go out there with the birds, in the bad weather. :)
