The pads make furniture (even heavy items) slide easily on hardwood floors without any scratching or marks, so that it's easy for me to move the furniture to clean. When you first put the pads on, you can quickly reposition the adhesive if necessary. The weight of the furniture also helps keep the adhesive in place. It's been a year since we put the pads on, and we haven't had to replace any of them. The price is definitely much lower than what you'd pay at a flooring store.
